The context:

In 1985, the Chiavenna swimming pool was inaugurated, marking the beginning of a journey that has greatly contributed to promoting a culture of sports and well-being within the local community, where it didn’t exist before.

It all started with the creation of a new Visual Identity for the Valchiavenna Sports Center, a project that is particularly important to me, as I’ve been visiting the swimming pool and the ice skating rink since I was a child. I believe it is essential to provide such facilities with a proper image that conveys the right message and ensures their success. This is because I am convinced that sports are fundamental for leading a healthy life, both physically and psychologically.

The logo is part of a comprehensive Visual Identity project, which I designed in line with the values and goals of what is now an institution for the city of Chiavenna.

The project:

One of the first interventions was designing the graphic layout for the front side of the bar counter, using forex panels covered with matte polymeric PVC (printing and application done by Grafica Pinizzotto).

Previously, the space was completely bare; now, the various types of sports promoted by the center are highlighted in a completely innovative and appealing graphic layout.

The goal is to create a more welcoming environment with a modern look, thus encouraging more and more people to practice sports.
